Golden Globes 2015

GG1

The 2015 Golden Globes took place this past Sunday, and being the first red carpet of award season, it often sets a precedent of what’s to be expected both in terms of fashion and beauty trends for the awards season.

Here are some of my favourite looks from the Globes.

Enjoy !

1. Chrissy Teigen in Zuhair Murad

Most probably my favourite look of the night, Chrissy looked so beautiful in this embellished blush pink Zuhair Murad gown. I love that she wore her hair in a high pony, showing off the low cut back of the long sleeve dress. Super elegant!

2. Julianne Moore in custom Givenchy

There’s not much to say really about this look – its gorgeous. I love how the colour fades from armour silver into a deep charcoal. And what I love even more about the dress is its  progression in contrast from a heavy shiny fabric into light flowy feathers.

3. Emma Stone in Lanvin

Who else could rock a strapless jumpsuit to the Golden Globes other than Emma Stone? She captures the perfect balance between quirky, modern, edgy and yet so sophisticated. And I love the giant surprise bow at the back!

GG5

4. Amal Clooney in Dior

George Clooney’s wife (yes, you heard that right) looked classic and elegant in this black Dior gown and her own white gloves (she just won some major brownie points in my eyes). For me this look is truly timeless and that’s why I think I appreciate it so much. It would be just as beautiful ten years ago and it could be ten years in time.

Who do you think should win a Globe for best dressed?

Stay tuned for more award season features coming soon !
